We are finally releasing the California Interoperability Field
Operations Guide (Cal-IFOG) to the general public safety community. The
Cal-IFOG serves as an everyday technical reference guide to
interoperable communications in California. It contains vital
information about usage guidelines, statewide & national
interoperability channels, frequencies, channels names, and contact
information. Also included are the 58 Operational Areas with a focus on
frequently-used mutual aid channels and 24-hour emergency numbers.
Using this information, emergency responders can easily communicate with
responders from any discipline or jurisdiction within the state. As the document develops over the years, the Cal-IFOG will include additional information about operational and regional area systems and provide more comprehensive references. Erratas will be available as comments and recommendations are provided to the California Interoperability Coordinator's Office. If you would like a copy please fill out the request form by selecting the link below. Request for hard copies may take 4-6 weeks. In the meantime, two PDF versions are immediately available for download.
