CAC Overview & Background

CACs are established by California Education Code [EC 56190 -56194] and are designed in the legislative spirit and intent to establish a local forum for active parent involvement in special education. CAC members have the opportunity to be a part of decisions concerning special education policy as an advisory body to the Sacramento City Unified School District (SCUSD) Special Education Planning Local Plan Area (SELPA) and the Governing Board.
