About c3bc

The Community College Consortium for Bioscience Credentials is a collaborative effort between several community colleges throughout the United States. c3bc is currently funded by a Department of Labor TAACCCT grant and lead by Russ Read at Forsyth Tech.

A major goal of c3bc is to develop a common set of skill standards for bioscience technicians working in the areas of biomanufacturing, medical devices and the biotechnology laboratory. On this website you will find not only the Core Bioscience Skill Standards themselves, but also the associated assessment that correspond to various Key Activities.

If you are interested in learning more about the goals and progress made on this DOL grant, the video below provides an extensive update as of February 2015.
