9-10 Apples {approximately 3 lbs}

1 Tablespoon of Lemon Juice

Peel, core, and slice all of the apples.

To prevent the apples from turning brown they can be submerged in a mixture of lemon juice and water.

Quarter the slices.

Place the apples in a dutch oven or large saucepan.

Add just enough water to cover the bottom of the pan.

Over medium high heat bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat, cover and cook for 10-15 minutes or until the apples are tender.

Remove from the heat and strain any access water.

Put the apples in a food processor and puree until desired smoothness.

Return the applesauce back to the dutch oven or saucepan.

Add the lemon juice {for acidity} and reheat sauce to a boil.
