My name is Bruce W. Cory. I have completed a Master of Arts degree in Spanish from Cleveland State University. My concentration is Latin American literature.
This is my second Master of Arts degree. The first is in Theological Studies from the University of Dayton. My concentration was scripture studies, but I also have an interest in monastic spirituality, liturgical studies and comparative religions (specifically Hinduism).
I am currently beginning my second year as instructor of Spanish and Humanities at Union College in Barbourville, Kentucky. Union College is a private, Methodist affiliated liberal arts college. I also am forming a Spanish club at Union College, the Mesa española.
I have previously worked for Hy-Ko Products Company in Northfield, Ohio. Hy-Ko is a manufacturer of numbers, letters, signs, keys and key accessories. I did order entry and customer service for Hy-Ko and its other company, Jandorf Specialty Hardware. I also helped with some basic bookkeeping for another company of Hy-Ko's, Budget Wire and Display.
I also tutored students for the Notre Dame Skills Lab. After having taught for over nine years, the opportunity to work with students individually was quite rewarding.
A couple years ago I took at black and white photography class at Cuyahoga Community College. I do enjoy photography, though finding the time to actually go out shooting can be difficult. However, you can see a small collection of my shots here.
More information can be found at both my LinkedIn and Academia pages. I have also recently fallen into the Facebook addiction and can be found here.
