Basil Fried Rice
Basil Fried Rice
Day 1 Lunch Ingredients: Rice (parsnips, pinenuts, lemon juice, nama shoyu, sea salt), Dressing (sesame oil, ginger root, lemon juice, agave nectar), sundried tomatoes, jalapeno peppers, basil, pepper flakes, garlic, cilantro, green onion, curry, turmeric, white peppercorn, tomatoes, broccoli, portabella mushrooms (195 calories) Tasty! My tolerance for spicy is kind of low, so to me it's got quite a bit of kick to it. We were told that raw sauces are thick and you should stir stuff up pretty good, because the salads or pastas you'd mix them with release water. I'm not sure that was exactly the case with this one, but it's perfectly fine all mixed up. Still not super hungry following breakfast, but I need to get some food in me far enough in advance of yoga this afternoon. I had another 12 oz of water and no interest in snacks whatsoever.

Acetaria: A Discourse of Sallets (Original Version)
John Evelyn (31 October 1620 – 27 February 1706) was an English writer, gardener and diarist.

Evelyn's diaries or Memoirs are largely contemporaneous with those of the other noted diarist of the time, Samuel Pepys, and cast considerable light on the art, culture and politics of the time (he witnessed the deaths of Charles I and Oliver Cromwell, the last Great Plague of London, and the Great Fire of London in 1666). Over the years, Evelyn’s Diary has been over-shadowed by Pepys's chronicles of 17th-century life. Evelyn and Pepys corresponded frequently and much of this correspondence has been preserved.
