Its easy.  The next time you need to make a purchase, whether its groceries or your next auto repair, choose a local, independent business to serve your needs.  Dollars spent at local and independently-owned businesses create a "multiplier effect" in the local economy, meaning that each dollar you spend re-circulates within our community to support small-scale livelihoods and what is unique about North Central Florida. For additional discounts at participating businesses, simply download the card to your smartphone or pick one up at:

  • For Businesses:

    We invite you to be a part of the Buy Local North Central Florida (NCF) campaign.  The purpose of this campaign is to educate our community on the value of locally and independently owned and operated businesses, and to promote and market those businesses.

     There are two ways your business can participate:

    Level 1: Brand your business as locally and independently owned. Receive a window cling of the Buy Local

    NCF logo to display on your business’ façade; an additional cling for your car; your business listing on our website (including a link to your website); and access to the Buy Local NCF logo for your website, products, and other marketing materials. Cost for 2011-2012 Participation: $40 for first location + $10 for each additional location.


    Level 2: Offer discounts that you control to drive customer traffic. Receive all of the above benefits, plus electronic templates of branded Buy Local NCF materials to promote your participation and indicate your discount offering(s). You have sole control over your discounts/offers and how often you change them. Our website will indicate that you are part of the discount program, but the specifics of your offers will be communicated at your business location(s). Customers present a discount card either in print form or on their phones to receive the discount. The print card will be freely distributed in North Central Florida at key events and venues; the electronic version will be available on the BuyLocalNCF.org website for download. Cost for 2011- 2012 Participation: $25 for the first location + $10 each additional location (this option is less expensive to encourage businesses to offer discounts).
