Turn to the Total Gym XLS, a top-of-the-line device that helps you strengthen and sculpt every major muscle group in your body using a single glide board and a few handy attachments. The Total Gym XLS works by making you lift a percentage of your body weight against gravity, creating a smooth and fluid resistance. As your strength and conditioning improve, you increase the total resistance by boosting the incline, thus increasing the body weight lifted in the exercise. The Total Gym XLS not only works your upper body, but also your lower body, abdominals, and even your cardiovascular system. And by reducing body fat and increasing the proportion of lean muscle mass in your body, the strength training effectively turns up the thermostat so that your body burns calories constantly.
The Total Gym XLS offers several upgrades over previous models, helping it set the standard for fitness excellence. The upgrades include a new pulley and cable system, an improved squat stand, and more comfortable padding on the glide board. The device also comes with several handy accessories that add a new dimension to your workout: a Pilates kit that helps you improve your range of motion and balance; a leg pull accessory that works your quads, hamstrings, and other muscles; flexible nylon strap handles; and a wing attachment for toning various back and arm muscles. About Total Gym
Total Gym made its initial mark in rehabilitation centers, where its main focus was aiding people recovering from physical injuries and obstacles. The device is the perfect rehabilitation tool for several reasons: the smooth, gliding motion is easy on the joints; the various height levels accommodate every fitness level; and the padded glide board provides excellent support for the back. After years of success in the rehabilitation field, the product's inventors introduced the product to Chuck Norris 30 years ago. Norris--who calls it his "lean, mean exercise machine"--still uses the Total Gym today as his primary home fitness device. Christie Brinkley has also been a devoted user for more than 10 years, and uses it to stay lean and fit even through two children and a hectic schedule.

Cadbury Country Club BS49
Cadbury Country Club BS49
Midway between Bristol and Weston-super-Mare, just outside Yatton, stands Cadbury House, which for many years has been a magnet for leisure activities. In the last few decades it has been the scene of many dinner dances, weddings, works functions and other events. The swimming pool being so close to the bar and disco seemed the height of hedonism in the 1970s and the Cadbury Country Club gained a reputation as a place where you could go and let your hair down and have some fun. This year ?13 million is being invested in Cadbury House and its grounds to create a state-of-the-art health and fitness club, spa, conference centre and a brand new hotel. The second biggest investment in North Somerset after Bristol International Airport, building work is now well underway on the new health club, with parts of the house currently closed for refurbishment. The current owners are keen to hear from people who have photographs and memories of Cadbury House throughout the years so that its history can be captured and reflected in the new hotel and conference centre. The original house, which will form a centre-piece in the new development, dates from 1790 when it was built as a private residence on a 800-acre estate. Exactly where those many acres were is unclear, although many estates in those days were spread over different sites. Cadbury House itself sits in 8.5 acres of land and the first written records - which appear in the 1841 census - show that it was occupied by Bailey Andrews, his wife Martha and children Susan, aged five and Leigh, three. Andrews - about whom little is known - was described as a man of 'independent means' and other records show that he lived in London until 1837. He also had connections with Sherborne in Dorset. In the 1870s the Rev Joseph William Hardman, who organised the building of St Katherine's Church at Felton, where he was priest in charge, was aged just 40 when he 'retired to Cadbury House, Congresbury'. On his death in 1891 the house passed to his son Harold Fitzwilliam Hardman, but census returns seem to indicate that he lived elsewhere and that the house was rented out. These included a Mrs Watts, James Richard Naylor JP and by 1910, the Earl of Cardigan, who in 1911 succeeded his father to become the 6th Marquis of Aylesbury. Along with his family, he was the occupier of the house at the outbreak of the First World War in 1914. In the 1920s, a priceless collection of Irish Tudor fireplace panelling was removed from the house. Finding its way to America, it's now on display in a museum in Boston. From 1939 to 1955, Cadbury House became a seat of learning as a boys prep school known as St David's. The main entrance was used as an air-raid shelter during the Second World War and some pupils reported seeing the ghost of a little girl walking down the main staircase. By the 1950s, girls had been admitted to the school, which catered for children aged between four and 16 and cost ?52 per term. A pupil from those times recalled that the headmaster had a room full of different-sized canes to mete out different punishments to errant pupils. Some pupils were boarders - one dormitory was in the attic - while others travelled in daily from nearby towns and villages. Some of the teachers had their own children at the school. There were two dogs - Peter, a terrier who was always muzzled, and a red setter called Rusty. In more recent times hundreds of revellers have made their way up through the sycamore and horse chestnut-lined driveway to enjoy fun times with hunt balls, medieval banquets and charity evenings. The swimming pool was always a magnet for activity and fun and it's rumoured that legendary cricketer Ian Botham was among those to have been thrown into it during high jinks. The existing leisure club, which has 1,800 members, is thriving and these people will be the first to use the new state-of-the-art equipment in the brand new health club when it opens in a few months time. Around 70 wedding receptions a year are held at Cadbury House and the conferences and banqueting will continue when the new facilities are created. One of the owners, Nick Taplin, said: 'The old house is being given a makeover but we love its interesting nooks and crannies. Little has been written down about the house throughout the years so we would like to hear from anyone who has lived here, worked here, went to school here or has a story to tell about the house - and we would love to see any photographs of the house or interesting people that have visited or partied here. 'Rather than cover over the previous 'lives' of the building, we plan to celebrate the history of Cadbury House in architectural features and original artwork. 'This is going to be an exciting year and as we take the house and grounds into a new era we want to celebrate the fun that has been had here over the years.'
