Plant Container


Materials Needed:
Aleene's Tacky Glue
Crochet Cotton (Variegated if you want stripes)
Plastic lid from chocolate syrup bottle
Paper piercing tool or needle
Approximate time to complete this project: 30 minutes  



Step#1 - Use the paper piercing tool to poke a hole in the center of the bottom.   
Step#2 - Thread the crochet cotton through the hole and tie a knot on the end. Pull thread so knot is secure to lid.


Step#3 - Smear some Tacky glue on outside bottom of lid. 
Step#4 - Using Paper piercing tool start to wind thread in circle adding more glue as needed. Press thread flat with paper piercing tool or the tip of your finger.

Step#5 - Wipe away any excess glue. Keep thread lose, but close together so there won't be any gaps.

 Try using different sized lids and different colors of  threads to create a whole range of plant containers.  Enjoy!
