Butler County Civil War 150 is a resource for sharing information about Butler County's connections to the American Civil War.  This site is produced by the Butler County Civil War Sesquicentennial Committee to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Civil War beginning in 2011 and continuing into 2015.
The Butler County Civil War Sesquicentennial Committee was recognized by the Board of County Commissioners on May 28, 2009.  The mission of the Committee is to actively facilitate through education, participation, and cooperation, the 150th Anniversary Commemoration of the involvement and sacrifices of Butler County residents during the American Civil War.  Collaborating with additional local, county, and state organizations, the Committee is intended to identify, promote, facilitate, and preserve reminders of Butler County's Civil War heritage.
