Avon Butler Elementary School
Avon School Association
Butler School’s parent organization.
Help us support your student’s classroom.
WHO ARE WE?
The Butler ASA (Avon School Association) is our school volunteer parent organization that raises funds for enrichment and extracurricular activities that are not included in the school budget. Your help and monetary support means our children can enjoy many extra benefits which the Butler ASA provides both socially and academically.
The ASA covers the cost of most field trips and transportation for Kindergarten through sixth grade. The current school budget does not include these trips for the students. Through our major fall fundraiser and annual Adult Comedy Night we are able to fund these trips that otherwise would not be funded. Last year the ASA provided over six thousand dollars to fund these trips to enhance your child’s learning.
WHAT DO WE DO?
HELP IS ALWAYS NEEDED
Volunteering an hour of your time is all it takes. We know how busy your lives can be but sometimes just a stop at the store to pick up supplies for an event is all that is needed! Or even just a new idea or suggestion!
ASA Kick – Off Meeting
The officers of the ASA welcome all parents that are interested in finding out more about the ASA to any and all of our meetings. The ASA will meet on Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at 7pm, at the Butler School. The ASA usually meets the first Wednesday of each month, but check your monthly school calendar for meeting dates. Come find out how you can help with old and new programs, and get to know other parents within the school community.
New faces bring new ideas, so please join us!
