2012 Star Polisher Award Winner - Janine Vernot

Congratulations to Ms. Vernot (PE Teacher) for winning the 2012 BES PTA Star Polisher Award. Ms. Vernot is not only a gym teacher, but also a mentor to many kids at Burtonsville ES. Several years ago, Ms. Vernot started the "Open Gym" program to encourage positive behavior at our school. This program has made a tremendous difference in these children, and as a result, it has created a positive learning environment at the school. The PTA would like to thank Ms. Vernot for her dedication to BES children. Congratulations!
