BURLINGTON LEGACY PROJECT    The Burlington Legacy Project (formed in 1999) aims to create a holistic plan, enabling the future security and sustainability of our community within the economic, environmental and social realms. Website:http://www.cedo.ci.burlington.vt.us/legacy/index.html 

BURLINGTON TRAIL MAP    Developed by LocalMotion, a local non-profit group.  A trail finder for hiking, biking, skiing, and more in the Chittenden County. Website:http://www.localmotion.org/trails/ 


BURLINGTON TRANSPORTATION PLAN    This plan provides a comprehensive assessment of Burlington's current infrastructure and provides suggestions for improvements that help to enable the vision expounded by the Burlington Legacy Project and Burlington's Municipal Development Plan.  Public comments are welcome.  The plan will eventually be adopted as a part of the city's master plan.

CEDO BURLINGTON    "The Community and Economic Development Office is a department of the City of Burlington. CENTER FOR COMMUNITIES & NEIGHBORHOODS (CCAN)    Burlington's CCAN facilitates community improvement activities and programs, where particular emphasis is placed on citizen involvement. EAST HILL TREE FARM    Nicko Rubin's East Hill Tree Farm in Plainfield, VT is host to a remarkable wealth of biological diversity, offering hardy apple, pear, cherry, plum, kiwi, hazel, pecan, chestnut and legume species to name a few.  To download the farm's plant list, click here.


EAT LOCAL VERMONT    Eat Local Vermont is a grassroots organization that seek to promote their moniker - local food production and consumption.  They sponsor local food related events as well as seasonal localvore challenges, during the course of which participants are encouraged and supported in their efforts to spend a portion of the year eating only foods grown within 100 miles from home. GROW TEAM ONE    Grow Team ONE (Old North End) is a grassroots community organization in Burlington's Old North End that seeks to grow community and increase food security through projects such as the Archibald Neighborhood Garden.  They offer workshops and other opportunities to learn and teach gardening techniques. THE INTERVALE CENTER    Burlington's Intervale center supports and enables local urban agricultural enterprises, providing leases and training to start up farmers.  For years, they maintained a substantial urban composting operation, turning organic wastes from the community and a range of local businesses into rich, fertile compost.
