Since the late 1960s the club had been involved with the annual evening “steam-up” at a local hostelry initially raising funds for the local scout group and hospital. This proved very popular with members, enthusiasts and public alike, and during the last 15 years over £23,000 has been raised for local charities such as Thames Hospice Care, Thames Valley Air Ambulance and Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service.

The event this year will again be at the New Leathern Bottle, Jealott's Hill, Warfield RG42 6ET on Saturday October 10th from 4pm.
