Buffalo Rock Tented Camp is set in an area of unspoilt natural beauty, and is rich in bird and animal life. We've assured our privacy here .... other than of course, the noctural visitors such as the lion and hyena who are often seen around camp. We're in a game rich sector of the Kruger National Park, which means that sightings of the Big Five are more likely. But it's more than just the game ... it's fun too - the sundowners, the sunsets, the wild animal sounds of the night and dinner under the stars
Camping - nothing hi tech to spoil the authenticity of the experience - but with a superior level of comfort, including a personal chef and qualified THETA & FGASA registered and experienced field guide. You’re going to relish gourmet candlelit bush dinners under the vast Kruger sky, and game viewing – with superb photographic opportunities - from open safari vehicles. Accommodation is in comfortable walk-in safari tents with the best possible portable bush showers and toilets. All camping arrangements are taken care of by support staff.
Participating in this Tented Safari is a back to nature  experience, no en-suite bathrooms or electricity! We provide the best possible portable bush showers and toilets. Our catering is 5-star ‘bush cuisine’ provided by a support team of  a chef and camp assistants. So while we do not expect you to help in any form of camp life please bear in mind that this is a   camping safari albeit a first class safari experience.
Bush Walks with Ranger
This is a once in a life time adventure accompanying an armed ranger while they unveil natures wonders. On arrival, guests will be given a brief regarding safety and walking a Big Five area after which the walk will commence. Walking is at a comfortable pace allowing everyone the opportunity to enjoy the surrounding bush. Typically the walk will take guests to areas with splendid views and unique sightings of animals, trees, birds and other local species. Stopping frequently, your ranger will interpret interesting facts about the tracks and signs of the resident animals or about the medicinal uses of the plants. Halfway into the walk the ranger will stop for a short break at which time guests are able to relax and enjoy a refreshing drink. Once rested, the ranger will circle back towards the safari vehicle ending a bush walk of approximately three hours in duration.
