Care Ministry

Sometimes obstacles are thrown in our life path that we need a little help or prayer to get us through.

Beautiful Savior offers the following groups to assist you through those trials. For more information on these groups, please contact the church office at 941-355-2798 or at the contact information listed for the group.


AA (Alcoholics Anonymous): Meets Tuesdays, 7 p.m. in the Wayman Still Fellowship Hall on the church campus.

Blood Mobile / Donations: Routine blood mobile visits are scheduled at Beautiful Savior so anyone can quickly & easily give the gift of life with a donation of their blood before or after Sunday worship services. 

DivorceCare: Open group for those who are experiencing the emotional pain and real issues of financial challenges, single-parenting, loneliness, betrayal due to marital separation or divorce.  We share practical information with a Biblical, Christ-centered focus on the issues which accompany the grieving process. Includes a video seminar, support group and personal workbook; $15 donation covers the cost of the participant’s workbook. This group meets Thursday evenings 7pm - 8:30pm in the Wayman Still administration building library; enter through the main double-doors under the awning. GriefShare: Take a personal journey from mourning to joy. Open group for those who have experienced a loss from the death of a friend or loved one.  We share practical information with a Biblical, Christ-centered focus on the issues which accompany the grieving process. Includes a video seminar, support group and personal workbook; $15 donation covers the cost of the participant’s workbook. This group meets Thursday evenings 5:00-6:30pm in the Wayman Still building conference room (next to the kitchen). For pre-registration and information, contact the church office at 941-355-2798.

Prayer Chain:  Have your email address added to the prayer chain so you can help those that need our prayers! You may also send a prayer request

Prayer Shawl Ministry:  

Given to those who need encouragement, the lovely prayer shawls surround our sisters in Christ with our love & caring, and prayers of encouragement, healing, etc..

Our Daily Bread Food Pantry:   Volunteers work at a local food pantry serving hot meals to the homeless. 

Savior’s Touch Ministry:  From providing transportation to yard work and light household repairs, this team blesses those in need. If you need transportation to church, doctor’s appointment, or even the grocery store, contact Jean Evers. For help with yardwork or repairs, contact John Gaul.

Spreading the Word -- Bible Ministry:  Donation of Bibles to hospitals, nursing homes, hotels, even student Bible studies for public school students outside of their regular classes. Almost 3,000 Bibles have been distributed to date.

Special Needs: Provides support for individuals with special needs. For example, hearing devices are provided upon request for worship services. Additionally, volunteers read the Bible to those homebound members who are unable to do so independently.

Meals Ministry:  No formal group established, but several church members voluntarily (individually) provide meals for members who have lost a loved one, are dealing with a health issue and need assistance providing meals for their family during a crisis.

Meals on Wheels Ministry: Provide food items for community distribution by the Meals on Wheels associates.

Heavenly Meals:  Meets 4th Friday of the month during the school year, at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Meals focus on healthy options, how to make wiser food substitutions. Contact Lynn Leavitt for more information.
