You are invited to attend a fascinating video-based Bible Study series on the life of Jesus that Pastor Curt Adams will be leading,

  • Beginning on Wednesday, September 25, from 6:00 – 7:30 PM.
  • The series will for five weeks, ending on October 23.

The title of the series is ‘Yeshua’, the Hebrew name for Jesus, and features the late Dr. Oswald Hoffman, world-renowned speaker of the Lutheran Hour for more than 30 years in the second half of the 20th century.

‘Yeshua’ was filmed on-site in the land of the Bible, and moves across more than 2000 years of history, from the time of Abraham, through the efforts of the Jews to possess and hold the promised land, to the birth and life of Jesus.

Places you will visit via this video series include:

  • Ur of the Chaldees, which was the birthplace of Abraham;
  • Bethlehem, the town of Jesus’ birth;
  • Jerusalem;
  • Qumran, the place where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found;
  • Cana, where Jesus performed His first miracle of turning water into wine;
  • the Garden of Gethsemane – and more.

‘Yeshua’ will be of interest to all who would like to enrich their understanding not only of the turning point of all history but of the singular figure who caused that turning.    After participating in the ‘Yeshua’ study, you will listen to and read Scripture with new insight, and read familiar prophecies, psalms, and parables with fresh appreciation.

Those who are going to the Holy Land with Pastor Adams at the end of October are especially encouraged to attend, as the series will be a wonderful precursor to many of the sites that will be visited as part of that trip.

Please sign up to attend the ‘Yeshua’ study on the bulletin board in the Fellowship Hall.
