Technology, Education and Design
Every year TED
holds a conference in
California to bring together the world's most fascinating “thinkers and doers”
to give a talk that is no longer than 18 minutes.
All those talks are
available for you to use in the classroom under a Creative Commons
TED's Mission Statement:
We believe passionately in the power of ideas to change
attitudes, lives and ultimately the world. So we're building a clearing
house that offers free knowledge and inspiration from the world's most
inspired thinkers, and also a community of curious souls to engage with
ideas and each other.
presenters include Bill Clinton, Jane Goodall, Malcolm Gladwell, Al Gore, Gordon Brown, Richard Dawkins, Bill
Gates, Google founders Larry
Page and Sergey Brin, and many Nobel Prize winners.
| Teaching with TED
links to many TED talks and information how other teachers are using
them in their classrooms. Many of the lesson ideas have additional
links and resources to use in conjunction with the talks.
