Christina McCauley, Assistant Director for New Student Programs
Christina has worked in the department for over three years and is responsible for the direct administration of the Orientation program. Her responsibilities include chairing the Orientation Core Committe; the recruitment, selection, training and supervision of the Orientation Leaders and the Student Orientation Coordinators as well as the operation of the program. She serves as the primary advisor to the Freshmen Class and also other first year initiative programs.
Christina McCauley attended Bridgewater State College and obtained a bachelor's degree in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations and a minor in Anthropology. While at Bridgewater State College as an undergraduate student, she was involved in the Program Committee, was a Resident Assistant, an Orientation Leader, a member of the Political Science club, a member of the Outdoors Club, a member of many search committees, and held various on-campus employment opportunities.
After completing her undergraduate experience Christina was employed by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions for about five years as an Admissions Cousnselor. As Christina worked full time she pursued and received a Master's of Education in Student Affairs Counseling and was inducted into the Chi Sigma Iota honor's society. Christina then made the career shift to her true passion Student Affairs.
Outside of the office Christina McCauley enjoys spending quality time with her husband Justin. She also loves spending time in her home state Rhode Island with her beagle Zoe and family. Christina also loves the outdoors, traveling, going to the beach, attending sporting events, being in the comforts of friends and family and at every opportunity enjoy a seafood feast!
