Meeting Follow-up

The next PLC meeting will be Wednesday October 4th at 7:30 at St Maurice Keane Hall.


We are camping this weekend at Heritage Reservation. Please be at the church by 5:30 to help load the trailer. If you are the cook for your patrol, and bringing a cooler with food that need to go into the trailer, it is important to arrive no later than 5:30. Nothing else goes into the trailer until the coolers are loaded. You will also need ice for your cooler to keep the food cold.

Please remember to bring your survival kits to the campout. They should contain: first-aid kit; extra clothing; rain gear; water bottle; flashlight; trail food; matches and fire-starters; sun protection; map and compass; duct tape; whistle; signal mirror; thin wire; garbage bag;

Yearly dues invoices have been emailed, and are available on the website under FORMS Please complete and return by November 1st.


There are two documents associated with the Wilderness Survival weekend. They are on the website under checklist, or can be viewed by clicking HERE. Please print and review these documents.


Jon Danley will be working on his Eagle Project on October 14th at 9:00. Meet in the Forest Hills Pool Parking lot. If you have a spade, or a post hole digger, please bring it along. Lunch will be provided. You will be installing signs in the dog park area.


The Troop Committee would like any registered adult who’s Youth Protection Training expires 2018 or earlier to go ahead and retake the course now.


A welcome to Cyndi Glen, who had taken the position of New Member Coordinator. Thanks for stepping up.


A reminder from the Garage Patrol. If a Scout is cooking for a campout, and the parent is attending and plans to carry the food up in their personal vehicle, please notify the garage patrol the week before the event. This way they are not waiting for the coolers to load the trailer (the coolers go in first). That being said, if your Scout is the cook and is bringing a cooler for transport in the trailer, please be at the church no later than 5:30.



Troop 90 will be taking orders for hooded sweatshirts. Payment and order forms are due Tuesday October 10th. An updated order form will be on the website under Forms and Documents, or by clicking HERE. Please be sure to complete a form for each hooded sweatshirt ordered. 



A note from FHPC, kitchen remodeling began September 25th. There will be times that room 20 will be off limits during construction period


Board of Reviews that are needed in advance of the Fall Court of Honor, need to be completed no later than the October 10thmeeting. Please contact the committee to schedule.



Philmont Trekkers are asked to please upload their pictures from the trip to the file share address provided by Mr. Rowles.


Popcorn sales have begun. A big thank you to our Popcorn Kernel Rich Kilpatrick for once again stepping up and handling.  


-Popcorn orders are due on 10/24 (Tuesday Meeting), I will be available at prior meetings to take orders if you've finished selling.

-Please collect money when taking order, checks should be made out to BSA Troop 90.

-Orders will be picked-up and distributed on 11/18 (Saturday am).  

-When submitting orders please have original order forms, they will be returned with your order.

-A drone will be won by a scout and each scout can earn up to three entries.  One for selling 1 item, another for sales over $125 and a third for sales over $250. 



A reminder to be sure to sign the attendance sheet at each week’s Troop meeting.


The fall Court of Honor will be held on Tuesday October 24th.


There will not be a Troop meeting on October 31st due to Halloween.

Dates for the November Campout have been finalized-November 10-12.


Two dates for your calendar: February 3rd Family Dinner and Court of Honor. March 10th Pack 90 Blue and Gold Banquet.
