Scouting for food 2014

posted Oct 19, 2014, 5:51 PM by Troop 447

The Boy Scouts of America's annual Scouting for Food Drive occurs Saturday, November 1 and

Saturday November 8, 2014. This is a national service project, and a very worthwhile one.

November 1, at RUMC, 8:30am to about 3:00pm:  We will start with our annual service project

for our Chartering Organization, Rockville Methodist United Church, raking leaves.  Once this is

completed we will distribute Scouting for food bags.

November 8, at RUMC, 9:30am to about 1:00pm: We pick up the bags we delivered last week,

sort the food and deliver it to the central collection point.

SSL Hours!! All students who participate will receive credit toward their

middle and high school service hour graduation requirements.
