Because you are an adult registered in a BSA unit chartered to an organization in Needham, Massachusetts, you are a member of the Needham Scouters Club.

Why should you attend?

To support the Needham Scouters Club.  The Needham Scouters Club charter requires it hold an annual meeting to elect officers and discharge other business.  A sufficient number of members must attend to have a quorum. If annual meetings are not held, the Needham Scouters Club will cease to exist.  We need you to attend this once-a-year meeting to continue the good work of the Needham Scouters Club.

If you can support the NSC by serving as an officer, please talk to President Tim Huemiller.

What does the Needham Scouters Club do?

The Needham Scouters Club supports the BSA-chartered units in Needham for the benefit of Needham youth.  Its programs include:
  • Administration and maintenance of the NSC-owned Camp Nehoiden, the location of the Needham Camporee (Camp Nehoiden is owned by the NSC)
  • Sponsorship of the town-wide Scouting For Food program
  • Administration of the endowment of the Needham Scouters Club in support of:
    • Needham Scouters Club Grants for
      • training,
      • camp-staff uniforms
      • participation in local and national BSA High Adventure activities
      • Needham Camporee
      • Needham units for significant unplanned expenses
      • Matching grants to units for equipment purchases
Please make every effort to attend.  The Needham Scouters Club needs the support of every unit in Needham!
