This is not run by Troop 13 and is not run by a council.   This is a privately run company that has a BSA Certified Merit Badge Councilor to run the event.  Please also note that if they do not reach the minimum numbers, they will cancel.

In order to complete this merit badge, you must already have your Kayaking Merit Badge.  They can give you a partial if you do not have it.  This is a unique merit badge that runs from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm.  Please note driving times are 2:15 hrs.

Your scout must be able to complete this test.  Whitewater test

This full-day program completes the Whitewater Merit Badge using our inflatable kayaks. The morning session includes discussion, instruction and on-water practice paddling the kayaks through specific maneuvers and rescue drills. The afternoon is an eight-mile paddle down a Class I-II section of the Deerfield in our "Funyaks". The cost is $35pp for the Funyak trip plus $25pp for the morning session.

Bring your own lunch or add lunch for $8pp.

Pre-requisite: Kayaking merit badge, although we will do "partials".
