Registration is open for February Winter Camp and April Stem Camp (limited space in each class)

Spaces per class are very limited.  Please register as soon as possible.  

Winter Camp - February Vacation, February 19th- 23rd 2018 
Older Campers, boys, and girls in the 6th through 12th grade, will choose a pathway themed around winter activities including some with overnights, day trips, certifications and merit badge earnings for scouts. 4 Pathway choices are below. 
10 - 12 spaces in each class.

1. Find Your Way - Orienteering Merit Badge, Geocaching Merit Badge & CPR Certification
2. Winter Survival - Wilderness Survival Merit Badge, Cooking Merit badge, CPR Certification, Includes one overnight
3. Snow Sports - Snow Sports Merit Badge, Physical Fitness Merit Badge (will receive a partial), Includes one day of skiing (Additional $35)
4. First Aid - First Aid Merit Badge, Fire Safety Merit Badge, CPR Certification, Basic First Aid


STEM CAMP 2018 - April 16th– April 20th 2018

Week-long Day Camp 10 - 12 spaces in each class.

Older scientists, boys and girls in the 6th through 12th grade, will choose a pathway themed around STEM activities including field trips, visits from scientists and engineers and hands-on projects. Scouts will earn the corresponding merit badges. Pathway choices are:

 

Introduction to Robotics: Pathway includes introduction to robotics using lego Mindstorm kits, a field trip to iRobot, instruction by a high school robotics team & a chance to earn the Robotics Merit Badge

 

Advanced Robotics: Pathway includes instruction by scientists within the field, a field trip to Amazon Robotics and a chance to earn the Robotics Merit Badge. Scientists must have experience using lego Mindstorm before.

 

Energy and Electricity: Pathway includes learning about electromagnetic energy, fusion, playing with a Geiger Counter, field trip to MIT Fusion Lab, instruction by MIT Researchers,
and a chance to earn Electricity, Energy and Nuclear Science Merit Badges.

 

Engineering: Pathway includes working with engineers from all throughout Boston, a field trip to the WIT Engineering Department, working with engineers from NVBots, access to the 3d printer at New England Base Camp and a chance to earn the Engineering and Inventing Merit Badges.

 

Arts and Animation: Pathway includes making art with science, making your own digital cartoons, a field trip to FableVision, instructed by Animators at FableVision and Scientists at MIT Lincoln Labs and a chance to earn the Animation, Art, and Movie Making Merit Badges.

 

Architecture and Design: Pathway includes design and layout landscaping, a field trip to WIT Architecture Department and a chance to earn the Architecture, Drafting, and Landscape Architecture
