We strongly encourage teachers and educators to consider using the poster competition as a STEM club or classroom activity.

Register with us before hand to find out more about what support we can provide for you and your students creating their posters.

We can help in a number of different ways. From advice on creating a winning poster, to assistance with postage costs. For those involved with STEM clubs, we hope to offer an additional prize for the club with winning entry.

We have also teamed up with STEMNET for the Greater Manchester area, who can provide support for the competition through their STEM ambassador scheme.

In return, we ask that you encourage your students to take part, and provide paper, printing, and internet facilities for them to use.

We also ask that you collect the posters from your students and send them to us before the competition closing date on the 12th March. The address to send to is:

STEMNET Team, Museum of Science and Industry, Liverpool Road, Manchester, M3 4FP.

In some cases, we can provide pre-paid poster tubes and paper supplies if necessary. Contact us for more information.

For the Greater Manchester area the STEMNET contract is held by The Museum of Science and Industry, Manchester.

STEMNET's purpose is to ensure that all young people, regardless of background, are encouraged to understand the excitement and importance of science, technology, engineering and mathematics in their lives.

The STEMNET Team at The Museum of Science Industry are at hand throughout the poster competition to answer your questions and help with additional support via the STEM Ambassador Programme.

STEM Ambassadors

The STEM Ambassador Programme is a government-funded, national role-model scheme which links STEM professionals with local schools.

STEM Ambassadors offer their time voluntarily to enthuse and inspire students within schools about STEM subjects. Ambassadors come from a wide variety of STEM sectors and industries. They bring with them an insight into application of STEM in the real world, not to mention a wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm and careers-related information.

All STEM Ambassadors are CRB checked and covered by STEMNET insurance. Visits are completely free of charge to schools.
