Fund Raising

Troop 76 is able to subsidize much of the expense associated with troop activities through our fundraising efforts. All scouts are expected to participate in fundraising activities as it is important for scouts to contribute to the troop and also learn valuable salesmanship skills. Participating in fundraising allows scouts to fulfill some of the requirements for the salesmanship merit badge. Scouts can derive a great sense of accomplishment and confidence as a result of engaging in fundraising activities. The scouts then directly benefit from these activities which provide funds for trips, summer camp, scholarships to college and equipment for camping.

Troop 76's major fundraising activity has always been its wreath sale fundraiser. There is evidence that wreaths were first sold in the late 50’s. We buy high quality fresh balsam fir wreaths and garland that are professionally hand crafted in the United States & Canada. Wreaths are pre-sold during the months of October and November and are available for delivery the week of Thanksgiving.
