Klondike 2012
Snowpocalypse: Return of the Yeti!
Camp Workcoeman, New Hartford

February 3-5, 2012

Last year's Klondike gave us an Alaska Earthquake, 2 feet of fresh snow, and a rainy day that ended up in a super slick course for the sled race finale. After the late October snowstorm, the 2012 Klondike promises to top all of that with a set of challenges like no other -- downed trees, power outages, flooding, survival skills, and more. Mark your calendars and sign up now!

Preliminary list of events:
Tomahawk throwing
Degloving and preparing pheasant (for pre-dinner appetizers)
Paul Bunyan Pioneering Skills
2-man Log Sawing Competition
Trial by Fire
Fishing for Snapper
Toxic Flood
Tracking/Sign Identification
Orienteering/Map & Compass/Search-and-Rescue/First Aid
More Pioneering Skills
Shelter Building
Gourmet Hot Lunch Cook-off

The day will be capped off by the cross-Alaska sled race, hot dinner in the warm dining hall, and an awards ceremony around the campfire.

Email your Patrol Leader and Mr. Barnett as soon as possible to sign up or if you have any questions.

Ventures, this year we'd like to have a Venture sled in the race too. Let me know if you're interested.
