Dear friends,
This is a reminder that the 5th Annual Bryan Court 100 is on Saturday, June 29. As last year, the race will have FOUR wave starts, with the first wave starting at 8am sharp, and the subsequent waves will start 2 minutes apart. Please arrive before 7am to pick your bib and get ready for the race. Since parking is limited, please consider to carpool with friends.
We encourage you to bring your favorite food, snacks, and drinks to share with everyone at the aid station and the post-race party. We're expecting high temperatures, so please plan accordingly and stay well hydrated.

PARKING:
We will be running on the sidewalk. So, street parking on Bryan Court will be fine. Please do not park within 10 feet from any mailboxes or fire hydrants. Also, please don't park at the small section that has no sidewalk because that will be part of the course.
Please consider to carpool if possible.
CHECK-IN & BIB PICKUP:
Please arrive at least ONE HOUR before the race start (7am) to check in, pick up your bib, and get ready for the race. Your race bib must be visible in the front outer layer or on the right side of your pants at all time (DO NOT WEAR YOUR BIB ON THE LEFT) so our volunteers can see your bib as you pass by the timing table.
ENTRY FEE:
Entry fee will be $35 per person to which helps covering the race expenses, particularly the cost of the beautiful finisher awards and the RD's beers. Please pay in advance by Paypal to ottolam@hotmail.com.
BAG CHECK / DROP BAG:
You may put your drop bag anywhere on the driveway or lawn, or inside the house, or even in your car.
COURSE:
The course will be on a narrow sidewalk, and each loop is approximately 0.38 mile. Even though the course is flat and non-technical, some sections of the sidewalk are uneven. A few experienced trail runners did trip and fall in the past years, especially in late miles. So please apply caution the entire time! Although all the participants are specially invited world class professional runners, BC100 is meant to be a fun race and it is NOT a competitive event. Please be courteous when passing runners or neighbors, especially with over 40 runners at the start this year!
LOOP DIRECTION:
We will be running counter-clockwise on Bryan Court. However, you are allowed to run the far turnaround in reverse direction. If you choose to run in reverse direction, please run in figure 8, so that you will always come to the start / finish in the same direction! This will allow our volunteers to see your bib.
WAVE START:
As common in most of the big international running events, we will have a wave start to spread runners out evenly from the beginning and to make lap-counting easier for our volunteers. Your assigned wave can be found on the attached list, and it will be printed on your bib. The first wave will be sent off at 8am sharp, the following waves will start with 2 minutes in between. So please be at the start on time and ready to run, before 8am. Ready or not, your clock will start ticking at the start time of your wave. And don't worry: Ranking and timing will be according to your net time.
AID STATION:
The aid station will be set up on the driveway and is accessible every 0.38 mile! There will be snacks and drinks available at the aid station. Hot soups, noodles, and pizzas will be available later in the race upon request. To help reduce waste, please bring a handheld water bottle or mark your cup and re-use it. Since your race entry fee only covers the cost of the finisher awards, we ask everybody to bring some food, snacks, or drinks to share with everyone at the aid station and the post-race party. Please use the link below to let us know what you are planning to bring, so that we know what else we have to get: http://food.bc100.run
BATHROOM:
There will be no portable potty! However, there will be two bathrooms inside the house. One is in the basement, and another one is on the main level.
There are also plenty of trees along the course! We also have poop bags available for pooping and puking!
LAP COUNT:
Our volunteers will be outside, counting loops for all the runners. Each loop is approximately 0.38 mile. Your bib must be visible in the front at all
time! There will be NO partial loop credit! Please be sure you are physically and mentally capable to complete a full loop before departing for each loop as transportation back to the finish will NOT be available until the race is over, which is at 8:00pm.
VOLUNTEERS:
We need volunteers to commit to lap-counting, especially during the first part of the race. Please contact Otto and Jürgen if you are willing to help
with the counting.
HEADPHONES:
Headphones are allowed, but we will be running through many driveways and crossing one street. Although traffic is usually very light on Bryan Court, please be very cautious, especially about cars pulling in / out of driveways. Besides, there will be many good friends on the course, why wear headphones anyway?
LITTERING:
Littering is strictly prohibited. Please dispose all the garbage in the trash cans and recycle bins along the driveway and lawn.
AWARD:
If you complete at least 1 loop of 0.38 miles, you will receive a beautiful finisher award. Runners who finish all 100 loops will receive a unique finisher buckle designed by our famous artist, Giselle Rodas.
POST RACE:
We will provide pizzas and drinks after the race. Please bring any food to share with everyone!
SWEEP BUS:
Cutoff will be at 8pm sharp! Runners may not continue after the cutoff, they will be picked up by the sweep bus back to the finish.
WEATHER
Please be aware that we expect warm weather on race day, so make sure to hydrate well, apply sunscreen, do heat training and listen to your body!
CANCELLATION:
The event will be held rain, snow, or shine.
