Brief Curiculum
I received the Ph.D degree in Computer Science from the University of Rennes in 1988. For my thesis, I introduced physically based models in computer animation. In 1988 I became a full time INRIA researcher in computer graphics at IRISA/INRIA. From 1994 I became Professor of Computer Science at INSA de Rennes (Engineer School). I was head of Project SIAMES (Image Synthesis, Animation, Modelling and Simulation) from 1992 to 2006. I was also chairman of PERF-RV, the French National Platform dedicated to Virtual Reality. I was member of the Network Management Committee of NOE INTUITION. I was director of the Computer Science Lab of INSA de Rennes. I ‘m currently vice-chairman of the French Association for Virtual Reality (AFRV), and I contribute to a lot of project dedicated to Virtual Reality.
