JSS - I love it

I am a fan of "The Walking Dead." Yes, the show has some great actors and directing, but it is the writing that makes it head and shoulders above a lot of other programs.

For example, the last two episodes had this teenage girl wondering through this apocalyptic world. Several times she scribbles 'JSS' (in the dirt, on a windshield, on the back of h er hand). I assumed it was her initials and it was keeping her sane. The, in the last scene in last night's episode, we learn that JSS means "just survive somehow."

It seems that episode after episode, year after year, they have moments where they throw out a fishing line into the audience and wait for us to bite. Homemaker Carol, Morgan, the preacher, the Wolves, and so many more, have secrets and live lies. What seems incidental at one point in the story, becomes monumental later. Carol, the wolf, can she ever become the homemaker again? We all knew who she was, but the charade was so perfect.

Kudos to the writers.
