More poetry from the fiction writer

The writing exercise for the mid-February North Georgia Writers Guild meeting was to develop a scene and situation using the provided picture prompt. Well, my imagination went wild as soon as I saw the picture. But, something told me to 'hold the horses'. This seemed like the time for for some poetry. (Just publishing these is a stretch for me)

And, that is how "Just You and Me Teddy" sprang to life. The more poetry I write, the more I enjoy it. It is a different way to tell a story - fewer words - yet, in many ways more descriptive. Now that I am gaining a little more confidence, I plan on digging out some of my poetry from 30 years ago and reading them again. It should be interesting.

I hope you enjoy my latest venture. "Just You and Me Teddy"
