Why Broomhill Library needs Friends

Broomhill Library at Oriel House has served the people of Broomhill, Crookes, Crosspool, Fulwood, Lodge Moor, Nether Green and Ranmoor for some 60 years. Friends of the library and volunteers came forward in 2014 and have kept the library open. Over 60 volunteers now give their time to support and develop the library for the benefit of the local community in this part of Sheffield. Alongside staffing the library, volunteers have improved the grounds and are restoring the heritage Percy Cane garden at the rear. Our vision is for a thriving community centre in a restored and renovated Oriel House in the heart of Broomhill. Help us to make this vision a reality.
