We prepare our students for college through a rigorous arts-infused program.

Rolling Updates

  • Student ID Card Requests Students in grades 9-11 who were photographed on picture day can purchase an ID card for $3 (ID cards are already printed and available for pick up). In order to purchase an ID card, please submit a request via the link below. Once the form is submitted, the student will receive an email confirmation including payment information. For 12 graders and anyone not photographed on picture day, ID cards will need to be printed by our picture company and shipped to the school.   • BLCPA Freshmen attend screening of The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution On Sunday, October 4, BLCPA Freshmen Amya Edwards, Amina Balwin, Omolola Jayeola, and Taleek Shamblee attended a screening of the new documentary, "The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution."Amya was the main organizer to bring the group of Freshmen to school on a Sunday to take the trip to watch the documentary at the Film Forum in Manhattan. Amina mentioned that it was great to see a film about a group that she has heard many stories about from her father and other family members. Omolola commented that history classes normally spend more time talking about Martin Luther King, Jr. probably because his message of nonviolence is preferable to the Panthers' message of militant and violent resistance. Taleek talked ...

  • PowerSchool Login Update As many students and parents may have noticed, there have been some changes made to the PowerSchool website. Under the new upgrade to PowerSchool 9.0, parents will need to create a new account in the Parent Portal in order to view your student's information. In this new account, you will be able to view multiple children, as well as set when and how often you would like to receive updates.Click here for a step-by-step guide to setting up your account.If you are still unable to access your account, please contact the Main Office.
