Volunteering

All of Scouting is reliant on volunteers, from 6 year old Beaver Scouts to 25 year old Scout Network members, all our sections need leaders. These leaders also need support, from assistants, helpers and managers.
Volunteering in Scouting is designed to be flexible. If you can only make every third Tuesday that's fine, because this could mean that every third Tuesday the Cubs can do an outdoor evening because they have an extra adult helping out.
If you don't really like children, that's fine too, we have management roles supporting our adult leaders too.
And if you have a passion for cooking, the outdoors, hockey, nursing, tree surgery, photography or any other hobby or skill and would like your local Scout Group to benefit from this, they would love to hear from you. No matter how little time you can offer, please get in touch and e-mail flexible@bromsgrovescouts.org.uk

Joining

Scouting is open to boys and girls from the age of Six to 25. All of our Scout groups have waiting lists of varying lengths, we are actively trying to open more Beaver Colonies, Cub packs, Scout Troops and Explorer Units to satisfy demand and with your help as a volunteer we can do this, so if your son or daughter wishes to join, please consider helping us yourself so that they can join sooner. Please visit www.scouts.org.uk/join after your son or daughters Fourth birthday to add them to our waiting list.
