The week before Spring Break/ La semana antes de "Spring Break"

posted Mar 7, 2017, 9:29 AM by Brody Middle School

I hope you are all well. Just to give you an update in Spanish Class!

All students have been watching a movie:

Non-Heritage Students: Spirited Away
Heritage Students: Almost a Woman (Based on Cuando era Puertorriqueña)

Non-Heritage Students
6th grade: We're learning the Verb TENER and the Present Tense.
7th/8th grade: We're learning how to communicate in the Present Progressive Tense & accurately using the verb SER and ESTAR.

We can communicate in the present & past tense with minimal grammar errors.
We've been working Identity this whole year, so at the end of the movie, we're writing a reflection piece of "my identity" by answering some key questions!

I hope you have a great vacation!

posted Nov 1, 2016, 7:13 AM by Brody Middle School

I hope you're well!

Just a reminder that on Wednesday we have a "brain break" and talk about culture in our Spanish classrooms! This past week we've been talking about El dia de los muertos (Day of the dead) which is celebrated around Latin America on November 2nd.

Ask our students what does this cultural holiday mean and why is it important!

Hola, espero que esté bien!

Solo un recordatorio que los miércoles nosotros tenemos un "break" y hablamos sobre cultura. Esta semana hemos hablado sobre El día de los muertos. El dia de los muertos es celebrado el 2 de noviembre.

Preguntale a nuestros estudiantes que significa y por qué es importante!
