The Brockport Merchants Association is proud and excited to announce BROCKSTOCK ’23! Join us for an afternoon and night of food, drinks, music, and community, on Friday, September 9,  12-10 pm  at the Brockport Welcome Center and the Water Street parking lot, as we give a huge welcome to SUNY Brockport students that are beginning their year in our community. 

The Village of Brockport is celebrating 200 years since the Erie Canal “ended” to Brockport on October 8, 1823, until the last section of the canal was completed in 1825. Essentially, Brockport was the “gateway to the west” for 2 years! Over all these years, Brockport merchants of small businesses have been at the heart of our community. The Brockport Merchants Association’s mission statement includes “Promote community pride through sponsorship of organized events and activities”. Our Brockstock Committee is hard at work to make this 3rd Brockstock the best one yet. Building on the momentum from 2019 and 2022, we are adding more bands to our line up, more Brockport eateries and a variety of drink options, and bringing back fireworks on the Canal! This is an opportunity to hang out with family, friends, and meet new neighbors by welcoming SUNY students, faculty, and staff.

We encourage you to take a closer look at our brockportmerchants.org website, Facebook, and Instagram pages to see our interactions with the Brockport community. As the upcoming Main Street Lift Bridge closure approaches, tentatively scheduled for mid-May 2023, we are concerned about our small businesses on the north and south side of the canal. Brockstock is an opportunity to bring people together and show them that WE’RE OPEN! The Village of Brockport is the place to work, live, visit, learn, and play.
