Welcome to the Lewisham & Greenwich Woodcraft Folk site

The Woodcraft Folk is an educational movement for children and young people to educate and empower young people to be able to participate actively in society, improving their lives and others' through active citizenship.

The Brockley Woodcraft Folk group is run by a parent co-op rotating as leaders for group acitivites. We have group nights every Monday from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm at Myatt Garden Primary School.

The Brockley Woodcraft Folk covers three age ranges:

Elfins - for children aged 6-9.

Pioneers - for children aged 10-12.

Venturers - for young people aged 13-16.

Each group has a minimum of two adult leaders.

Brockley Woodcraft Folk have as yet no groups for District Fellows (young people aged 16 to early twenties) who are usually referred to as DFs.

Many young people join Woodcraft Folk as Elfins and progress through the various levels and become involved for the rest of their lives some of them becoming leaders as adults. Others stay only for a short time. For all of them the Woodcraft Folk is a formative experience and most will make friendships that will outlast their time in Woodcraft Folk.
