"So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering." (Romans 12:1-2 - The Message)
Worship is an opportunity for us to enter God’s presence, to be intimate with Him and express our love and adoration of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Worship can take many creative forms (singing, dance, poetry, art) as well as seeing what we do day-to-day as acts of worship.
We encourage Brockley Community Church members to engage in personal worship, and to participate in our services and other congregational events with words, pictures, scripture, and stories about how God has worked in their lives.
Our sung worship times are usually led by guitar or keyboard with other supporting musicians (including children and youth). We sing both modern worship songs, taken from a variety of sources including Soul Survivor, New Wine, Kingsway, Stoneleigh etc., and more traditional hymns.
Although not exclusive to worship leaders and musicians, we participate in training and equipping events held by Holy Trinity Brompton under the name of ‘Worship Central‘.
