Welcome to the Brighton High School Play site.

This year we are so pleased to bring Larry Blamire's Robin Hood to the stage. Blamire has synthesized the conflicting legends and ballads about the outlaw folk hero and created a hysterical, sprawling, action-packed drama. Besides ably retelling the legend, he has created roles that challenge and reinvent the myth.

Includes a wise-cracking, superior swords person in Marian, and a Robin who only by chance finds himself a hero. But true to the legend, of course, all ends well: The Sheriff's sleazy scheme to wed and bed young Ellen fizzles, King John's vicious taxes are rescinded, the Sherwood Foresters are finally legitimized, and a justice descends on England's green and pleasant land.

Our performances will be November 15th-17th with 7pm curtain and November 18th with a 2pm curtain.

Thursday November 15th will be our $5 any seat night
All other performance costs will adults $10 adult;$8 for 65+; $5 All students any night

By whatever means it is accomplished, the prime business of a play is to arouse the passions of its audience so that by the route of passion may be opened up new relationships between a man and men, and between men and Man. Drama is akin to the other inventions of man in that it ought to help us to know more, and not merely to spend our feelings.
