t  http://www.sedgemoor.gov.uk/themeads.                     A special Council meeting  has been arranged for Wednesday 8th August 2012 and will be held in the Sedgemoor Room at Bridgwater House, King Square, Bridgwater from 3pm. This is an opportunity for interested parties to be involved in further discussion on the Meads SPD. The meeting will have two specific elements to it and these are individually outlined below:

Public Meeting (3pm to 5pm)

Firstly between 3pm and 5pm there will be a public meeting that will include a presentation outlining the key elements of the Meads project and the contents of the SPD. This will also include public question sessions for which members of the community who wish to can raise questions on the Meads SPD. Those wishing to do this are asked to provide questions in writing in advance of the meeting. This will enable matters raised to be researched and allow detailed answers to be provided. If time permits there may be an opportunity for open questions without prior notice but because of time constraints only questions submitted in advance can be guaranteed to be heard at the meeting.

Anyone wishing to submit questions or issues should submit these in writing to be received by noon on Monday 6th August at the latest. All statements should be submitted to the following contact address:
  • Stuart Houlet, Planning Policy Team Leader, Strategy & Business Service, Sedgemoor District Council, Bridgwater House, King Square, Bridgwater, Somerset TA6 3AR or via email at stuart.houlet@sedgemoor.gov.uk
Special Full Council Meeting (from 5-30pm)

The  public meeting will be followed by a Special Full Council meeting beginning at 5-30pm where the recommendation to adopt the Meads SPD will be formally considered by the Council.

Members of the community will be able to speak at this meeting though this will be limited to 3 minutes only and anyone wishing to do so will need to register with Democratic Services by noon on 6th August 2012 at the latest and again submit a written statement or question.
