Located on the Norther end of South Padre Island,  this park provides beach front picnic pavilions, concessions, children's playground, showers facilities, 18 full hook-up RV spaces, and a ranger station. Group rental facilities are also available with prior arrengemant for beach parties


Schlitterbahn Beach Waterpark
 on beautiful South Padre Island is the tropical destination for family fun! With interconnecting water rides and slides, a huge 5-story tall Sandcastle, thrilling uphill water coasters, a man-made surfing wave, and direct access to the Gulf of Mexico.


Banana Boats, Parasailing, Jet Ski
Are a great way to have some family fun. Several people fit on the Banana Boat and get pulled by a boat across the open water. Just hang on and go for a high speed ride! Parasailing on South Padre Island is a great chance to see the whole island from great heights, without having to get in a plane or helicopter. When the sun is shining, and you are looking to cruise the bay or ocean with style and speed, rent a jet ski.

The South Padre Island Birding and Nature Center is the Rio Grande Valley's premier destination for birdwatching. Our unique location on South Padre Island is the perfect place to observe the birds, butterflies and natural wildlife in coastal South Texas.

The facility is open from 10 am - 4 pm Tuesdays through Sundays (Closed Mondays). "Turtle Talks" run between 20-30 minutes in length. The first one of the day begins at 10 am. Presentations are held close to every half an hour, with the last one of the day beginning around 3:30 pm.
