Welcome to the Bridgend!

Paul and Lyn offer a warm welcome to all customers old and new! We opened for business in November 2013 after a refurbishment, including creating a brand new catering kitchen!

Nestled in the village of Pontnewynydd on the outskirts of Pontypool , the Bridgend Is a cosy, warm and inviting pub restaurant for the surrounding areas including Cwmffrwdoer, Plas Y Coed and Pantegasseg.  We are on the corner of Hanbury Road and Chapel Road near the Royal Mail depot on Pontypool industrial estate.Just a short drive from Blanaevon and Abersychan and 15 minutes from Cwmbran. This charming pub provides a haven with a roaring log burner to keep you warm in the winter!

A varied home cooked menu awaits. All meals are freshly cooked to order.

Our Sunday lunches are extremely popular and booking is essential. Delicious beef, turkey or pork for just £7.95. All served with roasties, stuffing, parsnips, homemade yorkies, fresh vegetables and a gravy jug. Last bookings on Sunday's 4pm.

We accept all major debit and credit cards

We welcome families and dogs, so pop along and see us for some great home cooked food from an award winning chef, fine ales and a friendly atmosphere, with treats on the bar for your four legged friend.
