Knottie Projects

Unique by Design

I, like most of you, have gathered pictures over time and did not plan on making a bio. So, if there is a picture here that I did not give you credit for, let me know and I will do so. Also, if you use one of my pictures, I would appreciate credit!   Thanks, Staci

I have loved this entire process of planning a wedding! When we finally tie the knot, it will have been over two years of planning! I began planning all of this in September 2006, mind you I did not get engaged until May 2007!

I have loved the process so much, that I have decided to persue event design and planning after my own wedding. I already am an Interior Designer, so creativity, planning, and details already come naturally to me.

If you need any help, I can be reached on the WCF page or you can e-mail me at and I will be more than happy to assist you.

My dress is a Maggie Sotero. It is white French Tafetta with some rousing in the bodice and some slight beading. It also has an assymetrical drape on the hips and a train.

After selecting the dress, my mom, my MOH, & I all toasted with champagne!

I want a French bustle...

My tiara has rhinestones and pearls in it, and it's the perfect height.

My veil is a one tier white shimmer tulle with a satin cord trim and a metal comb. It's perfect. I can't wait for it to shimmer in the sunlight!

I LOVE my earrings! I was worried a little when I first got them, because I thought they were too long, but they are perfect!!

I DIY'd my necklace after getting a quote for over $150!!! I made it for $60.

I'm thinking about having one of these tags stitched on the inside of my dress.

My MOH asked why did I need a watch on my wedding day. My response, "to keep us on schedule!"

My bracelet - this picture really does not do it really is georgous!

I almost cried immediately when I saw my embroidered hanky! It is so pretty! I devised a way to attach it to my watch, by sewing a lobster clasp on it. So it is there when I need it and remove it when I am done crying.

This small picture frame with a picture of my late grandfather will be hanging from by bouquet.

I'm going to put this brooch over where my corset ties because it is just too plain there. I really LOVE this brooch! The style is sooooo me!

I'm having my wedding day undies personalized like this...

My garter was my first wedding-related purchase! It says, "I do" in light blue thread. The toss one is kind of boring, so I want to jazz it up a little.

I love my shoes!! They're so sparkly...

These are my reception flip-flops. I am a total flip flop girl! I also LOVE my thick flip flops because I'm only 5'3. I just had to embellish them to make them more "bride-y"

Bill is wearing a black tux with a white tie, vest & shirt. Very classic.

Bill trying on a tux jacket.

He wanted a personalized hanky (he got his initial first on this!)

I bought these for him to make sure he does not forget to wear black socks!

Sherri in her dress...(showing off her pregnant belly)

I DIY'd her jewelry as a gift to her.

Initial to hang from her bouquet that I DIY'd...

Gina in her dress...

Initial to hang from her bouquet that I DIY'd...

Meagan in her dress...

JBM's jewelry that I DIY'd as a gift to her.

The GM's will be wearing black tuxes and vests with apple green ties & hankies

We had her dress made.

The design...

the outcome...

I DIY'd the FG crown.

Her basket that I DIY'd

I also DIY'd her a little matching purse for the reception...

Devin will be wearing a black tux with a light pink tie & vest to match the pink sash on Jessica's dress.

I DIY'd the RB pillow, but since Devin has such "monster" hands, I'm going to have to fix the back.

My "virtual" wedding party.

The Fathers

The FOB & the FOG will be wearing black tuxes with silver vests, ties, & hankies.

It took a while, but we FINALLY found my mom's dress! It's iridescent tafetta in an olive green. When the light hits it, it has shades of blue. She is gonna look so pretty!

Hair Inspiration:

The hair trail went really good. We did the same style, but with my natural length hair and with extensions. She did not have my exact color extensions, so she used one that was close (a little too red). I like both lengths, but I think we are going to do the entensions. I've never seen my mother have such a response as she did when she saw me with them! Hopefully, Bill will have the same response!

Make-Up Inspiration:

My make-up trial also went really well. She did each eye a little different. I like the one on the left. We're going to do it a little darker and I love the fake eyelashes!!

The Palmetto Club at Fish Hawk Ranch Lithia, FL

We are going to be married in the garden in front of the fountain. The fountain will be turned off and turned on either when we're announced or when we kiss.

Our guests are going to walk through Palmetto Club to get to the garden. There will be a "welcome" table in the foyer to guide our guests outside.

At our initial welcome table will be this framed caricature of us on an easel beside it.

Also on this table will be a sign directing our guests to where the wedding is and a basket of "tear rolls" that I DIY'd.

Venue Garden Pics -

Ceremony Layout:

Since it might be a little warm, we are going to have a tin of these small bottles of water for our guests. I designed each of the different logos.

Pretty much exactly how I want the aisle to look...

We are doing "ampitheatre" style seating, but on the half round as opposed to completely around. Also LOVE the fabric drapery on the arch!! Exactly what I want on our arbor.

The aisle runner (A MAJOR DIY UNDERTAKING!!)

Progress pics...(how cute is my mom in these pics!!!)

I DIY'd these cones for the flowers, to hang from the shephards hooks lining the aisle...

These will tie on the backs of the chairs for the "reserved" guests

On each chair, will be a program & a bell to ring after are announced husband and wife.

I want an arbor type of arch with strings of crystals hanging on the sides. DIY Crystal Treatment...

       Our Wedding Bands...

I am also DIY'ing our unity candles. I purchased a glass hurricane so that it will not blow out!

While we're taking pictures, our guests will be enjoying a nice cocktail hour consisting of specialty martinis and a sampling of the food to come.

A little welcome sign with a request to sign our guestbook will greet our guests.

Our signature matte will be out during the cocktail hour and throughout the reception for our guests to sign their well wishes.

The markers for the signature matte have flowers on top and will be in this vase ready for our guests...

In each of the restrooms will be these baskets filled with supplies for our guests...

Also, I will be stashing my compact & lip gloss in the basket in the women's restroom. I made this little bag for it.
