ABOUT TIM OSBORN

Sergeant Tim Osborn was raised in Brick Township.  He was a 4-year player for the Green Dragons and graduated in 1977.  He was a member of Bricks 1974 State Championship Football team.  Tim attended Glassboro State College before joining the NJ State Police in 1982.  At this time, Tim also began his coaching career at Brick from 1982-1999 where he was part of 4 State Championship teams.  He then went on to experience the joy of coaching his two sons Matt and Brad at Toms River North HS from 2000-2005.  Finally, in 2006 Tim got his dream opportunity and was able to establish his own program at Jackson Liberty HS.  It was Tim's passion to teach, coach, and mentor young people and help prepare them for lifes challenges.  Tim married his beautiful wife Jeanne in November 1983 and together they had two sons, Matthew in 1984 and Brad in 1986.  He retired from the NJ State Police in 2007 after 25 years of service at the rank of sergeant first class.   The other troopers were a second family to Tim and he established many lifelong friendships.  Tim had an impact on everyone he met and there was nothing we would do to help his family, friends, students and players.  "Coach Oz" passed away on April 13th, 2013 at the young age of 53.
