about the school

St. Dymphna began construction in December 2005 and is located in Olsevia, Tanzania, approximately 2km outside of Arusha Town. The school has a beautiful view of Mt. Meru, Tanzania's 2nd largest mountain.
Initially the construction of St. Dymphna included a one room building where Mary would teach all of the children. Since then, we have made two large additions to the school. The school structure now consists of four classes, a school cafeteria, two restrooms, a school store (which students create hand-crafted materials and then sell there), an administration office, a kitchen. a small playground, and 2 bedrooms to house international volunteers.

The four classrooms consist of:
Nursery One

Nursery Two
Pre-vocational Class

Autism Class
