Trained in anthropology (Princeton University, Phd, 1991), my interests are in Asian societies and the intersection of psychology and politics. Currently I am pursuing an MA in counseling and community psychology. I have written about nationalism, pop culture, religion, education, deception, and simulation theory. I have a special interest in the theories of the psychologist Julian Jaynes. Currently I am exploring the history of psychology in Japan and the evolution of religion from a Jaynesian perspective.
