BRF Compendium is proud to present the new BRF Archiver, a program to allow the user to archive all the posts from a given thread, or only the posts of certain authors within the thread. This program has been written to work on Windows, Mac OSX, Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD and other UNIX-like operating systems. The program was written in the Python programming language.

The current version of this program is 0.6.0 (Mogambo) released on Jan 12th 2016. This release adds detection for newer versions of Mac OSX and correctly shows a GUI instead of a plain terminal window.

To install, click on the Attachments section below and download the ZIP file. IMPORTANT: As of 2015, Google appears to have made a change to their UI, so clicking on the words "BRFArchiver.zip" below will not work on some browsers and will display a NOT FOUND error message. Instead, if you look below and to the right of the page, you will see a down arrow icon next to the words "v.8". Please click on the down arrow icon and the file will download correctly.

Once you have the ZIP file downloaded, unzip it to your computer and look at README.txt for further instructions (Windows users may wish to use Wordpad instead of Notepad to read README.txt). You may need to install the Python runtime for some operating systems (details in the README.txt file) before you can run the code. The code is provided AS-IS with no warranties. The terms and conditions for this package are in the file LICENSE.txt, which is included in the ZIP file and you should read that as well, before using the code.
