The Brewers Softball Team participated in the Philadelphia, Pa area from 1983-1996 in modified-pitch men's softball.

During this period the team accumulated an overall official league record of 201-99, including playoffs. The team had it's roots in the old Pennamco team which competed in the First Pennsylvania Bank intra-mural league during the 1970's through 1982.

The Brewers participated in that First PA Bank league during 1983, then joined what became the Delaware Valley Financial League during a merger between six First Penn teams and four Delaware Valley Savings & Loan League teams in 1984.

When the DVFL folded prior to the 1995 season the Brewers and another WFBL club, TVC, moved to South Philly and played in the Palumbo Rec Center league for two seasons.

During the 1983-1994 years, the Brewers played our home games at Archbishop Ryan High School, and won five of our six championships at Ryan, still considered the official Mecca of "Brewer Ball."

The Brewers won league championships over four straight years from 1989-1992, and six times overall during a 10-year span between 1985-1994 in the DVFL. The team also won three regular season titles during this span.

For individual honors, four different Brewers were named as the DVFL Most Valuable Player, five players as the WFBL All-Star Game MVP, and five players named as MVP of the playoffs. 17 different players were selected as WFBL All-Stars over the years.
