Mouse's Home Page

Ok, so it looks like i finally have a use for this site. Yes, I'm going to use it to house tutorials for Google AppEngine. Starting with my task tracking tool - Taskr.

What is Google AppEngine? It is a Google product that allows third party web application developers to host webapps on Google's hardware. GAE is currently in preview release, and as such access is limited, and the kinks are still being worked out. I expect access to open up over the coming months, just as Google did with GMail.

Why is AppEngine important? AppEngine is going to allow a new generation of webapp developers to get their ideas onto the web for a lot less, and more importantly, get an education in how to build for scale.

I look forward to the day that an AppEngine webapp goes viral and becomes the next FaceBook. =)
