A good job?s colleague was travelling with me in the Underground, at midnight, as every day, from our daily work. A heavy and alienating work, fixing at distance (attending and emitting telephone calls) the breakdowns in the ADSL of the clients.

This colleague is very young, and is a typical example of a type of current youth in the Spanish society, and I am afraid that in some another western country. A part of the youth without real ambitions. Without political commitments. Without moral or sentimental ties. Without intellectual needs. Absolutely produced to the System, to earn money splitting the back, simply to spend it totally at his scanty hours of leisure. As the money was entering in his pocket at the beginning of month, to a few days, he had spent it.

He only lives to buy expensive, trade marked clothes. To have a modern haircut. To go to the gymnasium. To attract pretty girls. To buy a car (to attract more pretty girls). Nothing more. The Society has created it this way. He has entered squarely the machinery of " doing money - spending in your leisure to be satisfied - to do more money - etc. ".

What are we doing badly? What has happened in order that this boy, good person by the way, has so little need of ' filling himself ', and he asks himself so few things? Why there is a sector increasingly widely of this type of people?

These new sport shoes, which had cost so much money to him… so shining… with this so nice form… These sport shoes represent EVERYTHING. The Trade Marks. The image. The money. They are a few magic, almost with own life. And its glamour shines over the ground of the reality of day after day, a reality so dark, so coarse…

The USF Sun Dome is a 55,000-square-foot (5,100 m2) multi-purpose entertainment/sports facility on the campus of the University of South Florida, which is located in Tampa, Florida. It is located on the southeastern side of campus, and is home to the men's and women's basketball and volleyball teams. It was built starting in 1977, and was completed on November 29, 1980. The Sun Dome is a multi-purpose facility, hosting approximately 300 different events each year, including sporting events, concerts, home and garden shows, trade shows, religious services and conventions, ethnic festivals, rodeos, bull riding competitions, youth sports camps, wrestling, boxing, Taekwondo tournaments, gymnastics and cheerleading competitions, commencement ceremonies, lectures and political rallies among other corporate, community and university events. Performers such as Tool, Frank Sinatra, Whitney Houston, DMX, and Elton John have all held concerts from their respective tours in the Sun Dome, as well as live events by WWE, such as the 1995 Royal Rumble. The Sun Dome was one of the few arenas in the United States to be created with an inflated roof. Airlocks kept the interior pressurized and the roof up. This system was replaced in 2000 with a 90,000-square-foot (8,400 m2) Teflon coated roof supported by a futuristic steel space frame that peaks 115 feet (35 m) above the arena floor. State of the art video screens were added in time for the USF Men's Basketball Team's 2005-2006 season. -
